TASTING NOTES

Bright strawberry pink colour. Primary aromas of fresh fruit on a floral base. Wide in the mouth, fruity, round and very persistent. A harmonious and very pleasant finish.

Sonsierra White

Located in the Sonsierra region, at the heart of Rioja Alta.

TASTING NOTES

Brilliant pale yellow colour. To the nose, aromas of white fruit (pears) and bananas, with light floral hints. In the mouth, balanced with a refreshing acidity that is very well integrated. The aftertaste is pleasant and subtle.

Sonsierra Red

Located in the Sonsierra region, at the heart of Rioja Alta.

TASTING NOTES

Cherry-red colour with violet-hued rims. To the nose, plant aromas prevail and the presence of red fruit and liquorice are strongly noted. In the mouth, it is well structured and fresh with a very fruity finish.

Sonsierra Crianza

VINEYARD

Located on the lower slopes of the Cantabrian Mountain Range.

100% Tempranillo

AGEING

12 months in American oak Bordeaux-type barrels. A minimum of 3 months’ bottle aging.

TASTING NOTES

Intense ruby-red colour, with great depth. To the nose, vanilla and cinnamon aromas stand out, mixed with mature fruit. In the mouth, it is smooth and round, with good body and very well integrated sweet tannins.

Sonsierra Reserva

VINEYARD

Old-growth vines situated in the foothills of the Cantabrian.

VARIETY

100% Tempranillo

AGEING

12 months in Bordeaux barrels of American (80%) and French (20%) oak. Bottle-aged for a minimum of 24 months.

TASTING NOTES

Spicy balsamic notes of great complexity develop on the nose, with traces of ripe black fruit and a hint of toast.

Sonsierra Gran Reserva

VINEYARD

Old-growth vines situated in the foothills of the Cantabrian.

VARIETY

100% Tempranillo

AGEING

24 months in specially selected barrels of French (70%) and American (30%) oak.

Bottle-aged for a minimum of 36 months.

TASTING NOTES

The traces of ripe fruit and sultanas, typical of the old-growth vines used for this wine, are complemented perfectly by the delicate aromas of cocoa, cream, toast and balsamic notes contributed by its long ageing in both the barrel and the bottle.

Sonsierra Fermentado en Barrica

VINEYARD

Old-growth vines situated in the foothills of the Cantabrian.

VARIETY

100% Macabeo

AGEING

The wine is then fermented and aged on fine lees in specially selected new barrels of toasted American (80%) and French (20%) oak.

TASTING NOTES

Notable for its intensity and aromatic complexity, with subtle hints of toast, vanilla and dried fruits overlying an agreeable background of apple, pineapple and white flowers.

Sonsierra Selected Harvest

12 months in new American oak Bordeaux-type barrels. A minimum of 6 months’ bottle aging.

TASTING NOTES

Intense cherry ruby colour with crimson hues. Powerful to the nose, combining aromas of fine toasting, ripe fruit and very complex mineral notes. Wide and elegant in the mouth. Lively finish with a future.

16 months in the same new French oak Bordeaux-type barrels. A minimum of 26 months’ bottle aging.

TASTING NOTES

Intense red-ruby colour, brilliant and deep. To the nose, clean, potent, complex aromas stand out, with hints of spices and fine wood. Complex and long in the mouth, with a good structure and balance between alcohol and well-polished tannins. The aftertaste is long and persistent, with lingering fruity notes

Perfume de Sonsierra

AGEING

16 months in a selection of 30 new French oak Bordeaux-type barrels.

A minimum of 8 months’ bottle aging.

TASTING NOTES

Bigarreau cherry color, high robe, bright. In the nose it has outstanding fruity notes (strawberry, currant and licorice), very well combined with the aromas of aging, especially roasted and toasted coffee. The palate is long, balanced, round, with a good entry and a long finish.
