Sonsierra Crianza 2013, Gold Medal winner at the AWC International Wine Challenge in Vienna and ranked among the top 3 of the wines in its category, is a balanced and truly authentic example of the region’s crianza wines. The bouquet offers aromas of cocoa, vanilla and coffee against a vibrant background of ripe fruit and liquorice. In the mouth it presents a fusion of spicy sensations and varietal notes.
Sonsierra Reserva 2012, which was given a score of 90 by the American wine magazine Wine Enthusiast, is a noble, elegant wine of superb quality, with hints of woodiness while still conserving the presence of fruit. It stands out for a suggestive complexity that combines aromas of balsam and spices with ripe fruit and a mild toastiness, while offering a supremely velvety mouth-feel.
Sonsierra Gran Reserva 2010, with 90 Parker Points, is a truly great wine that is only produced after exceptional harvests. Strongly influenced by the terroir, it is a potent and characterful red, with great complexity. The sensations of ripe fruit from the old-growth Tempranillo vineyards are mixed with the notes that emerge from its long ageing process in the barrel.
