Sonsierra Crianza 2015 is a wine that is true to its origins. It expresses the typical qualities of the wines from the Sonsierra region and boasts an exceptional balance between the hints of fresh fruit and the nuances of its ageing process in barrels of American oak.
The wine underwent pre-fermentation maceration for 24 hours, followed by alcoholic fermentation (with periodic pumping-over) in stainless steel tanks for eight days at a controlled temperature of 24ºC, in order to imbue the aroma with as much fruitiness as possible. The wine was then macerated after fermentation for an additional 24-48 hours, before undergoing malolactic fermentation in concrete tanks. Afterwards, the wine was aged for 12 months in Bordeaux barrels of American oak and then further aged in the bottle for a minimum of three months prior to going on sale.
