The professional jury consists of oenologists, producers, distributors, sommeliers and journalists tasting samples submitted for the contest blindly, which this year amounted to 6,000 from all wine regions of the world.
For the wine company, it is a great pleasure to receive this recognition for our work as growers and winemakers, as we are always seeking the highest expression for our vineyards located in the heart of a region as special as Sonsierra.
As well as these two awards, there was also an Honourable Mention for the Sonsierra Selección Rosado 2014 in ‘Most Notable Spanish Wines in Holland 2015’, organised by ICEX España along with the magazine, Perswijn.
All the winning wines in this contest were presented at a tasting by Ronald de Groot, the President of the professional jury and Chairman of Perswijn magazine, and are included in the online Competition guide on the website www.vinos-de-espana.nl.
