In their tasting notes on Perfume de Sonsierra 2010, the panel of experts described it as a wine that “shows a balance between generosity and grip (…) plum and blackberry flavors are ripe and juicy mingling with iron, tar and smoke notes that give way to a floral, vanilla-accented finsh”.
With regard to Pagos de la Sonsierra 2009, they described it as a “expressive red (…) offers plum, black tea, dried orange, sanguine and mineral flavors, set in a polished texture supported by light , firm tannins”.
Pagos de la Sonsierra and Perfume de Sonsierra are part of the winery’s headline collection. They are both made from carefully selected Tempranillo grapes from old-growth vines (over 40 years old) of the very highest quality, located in the foothills of the Cantabrian Mountains.
At present these two limited-edition wines are out of stock at our winery, although we hope to share the launch of new vintages with our clients and connoisseurs soon.
